Year 6 RSHE Lesson – General Wellbeing (Mental & Emotional Health)

This Year 6 RSHE General Wellbeing lesson supports statutory Health Education by helping pupils understand how habits such as sleep, nutrition, physical activity and social connection protect mental and emotional health, especially when facing the transition to secondary school.

Pupils develop emotional literacy, learning to name complex emotions, manage overreactions and use coping strategies including mindfulness, movement, kindness and talking to trusted adults. The lesson also explores loneliness, bullying and grief, reinforcing early help and safeguarding.
