Year 3 RSHE Lesson – General Wellbeing (Mental & Emotional Health)

This Year 3 RSHE General Wellbeing lesson supports statutory Health Education by helping pupils understand how to look after both their mental and physical well-being. Children explore how healthy habits such as sleep, exercise, relaxation, outdoor time, and positive relationships support emotional health and readiness to learn.

Pupils learn to recognise a wide range of emotions, understand the difference between big and small reactions, and use practical self-regulation strategies such as pausing, breathing and choosing helpful responses. The lesson also addresses loneliness, grief and bullying, with clear guidance on seeking help from trusted adults.
