Year 5 RSHE Lesson – Caring Friendships

This Year 5 RSHE Caring Friendships lesson helps pupils understand how healthy friendships are built on trust, empathy, honesty and mutual respect. Children explore qualities of strong friendships and how to support peers who may feel lonely or excluded.

The lesson teaches conflict-resolution skills such as using “I feel” statements, listening without interrupting and working together to solve problems. Pupils also learn to recognise unhealthy or pressuring friendships and when to step back and seek adult support.
