Year 4 RSHE Lesson – Caring Friendships

This Year 4 RSHE Caring Friendships lesson develops pupils’ understanding of what makes healthy, supportive friendships, including kindness, honesty, loyalty and respect for boundaries. Children learn how communication, listening and empathy help friendships grow stronger.

The lesson teaches strategies for managing disagreements, supporting peers who feel left out, and recognising when friendships become unhealthy or controlling. Pupils are encouraged to seek adult support when problems cannot be resolved independently, strengthening safeguarding awareness.
