Year 1 RSHE Lesson - Being Safe (Statutory Relationships Education)

This Year 1 RSHE Being Safe lesson teaches children about personal space, body ownership and the difference between safe and unsafe touch in a sensitive, age-appropriate way. Pupils learn that their body belongs to them and that it is always okay to say no if something feels uncomfortable.

The lesson explains that secrets about feeling unsafe should never be kept and clearly shows children who they can talk to if they are worried, including parents, teachers and other trusted adults. It also signposts support such as Childline, reinforcing that help is always available.
