Year 1 RSHE Lesson - Respectful, Kind Relationships (Statutory Relationships Education)

This Year 1 RSHE lesson on Respectful and Kind Relationships helps children understand how to treat others with kindness, honesty and respect, and how to express their own feelings in a calm and appropriate way. Pupils learn that everyone is different and that differences should be celebrated, not used as a reason to exclude others.

The lesson introduces the idea that it is okay to say no if something feels uncomfortable and that bullying is when someone is repeatedly unkind on purpose. Children are encouraged to talk to trusted adults if they feel unsafe, sad or worried in any relationship.
