Year 5 RSHE Lesson – Physical Health and Fitness (Being Active)

This Year 5 RSHE Physical Health lesson supports statutory Health Education by teaching pupils how regular physical activity improves heart health, muscle strength, mood and concentration. Children learn that physical health and mental well-being are closely linked.

The lesson encourages everyday movement, explains the risks of inactivity and introduces healthy weight in an age-appropriate, body-positive way. Pupils learn who to talk to if they are worried about fitness, health or body confidence.
