Year 4 RSHE Lesson – Personal Safety (Hazards, Fire, Road, Rail & Water)

This Year 4 RSHE Personal Safety lesson teaches pupils how to recognise hazards and reduce risks at home, school and in the community. Children learn about dangers such as fire, hot appliances, electricity, chemicals and unsafe water.

The lesson covers road safety, railway safety and water safety, including safe crossings, station rules and the Water Safety Code. Pupils practise what to do when something feels unsafe, including stopping, moving away and reporting concerns to trusted adults.

This lesson supports safeguarding, risk awareness and personal responsibility.
