Year 6 RSHE Lesson – Caring Friendships

This Year 6 RSHE Caring Friendships lesson helps pupils understand how healthy friendships are built on trust, empathy, loyalty and respect, particularly as peer groups change before secondary school. Pupils explore how to build new friendships while maintaining positive existing ones.

The lesson develops skills in conflict resolution, assertive communication and recognising unhealthy or pressuring friendships. Pupils learn how to support peers who may feel isolated and when to seek adult support if friendships affect emotional wellbeing.
