Year 2 RSHE Lesson – Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco and Vaping (Keeping Our Bodies Safe)

This Year 2 RSHE Drugs and Safety lesson introduces children to substances that can help us, such as medicine when given by trusted adults, and substances that can harm the body, including cigarettes, vapes and alcohol.

Pupils learn that these substances are never safe for children and that they should never touch unknown bottles, packets or vaping devices. The lesson also introduces the concept of addiction in simple terms and teaches children how to refuse unsafe offers and seek help from trusted adults.
