Wellbeing Online (Digital Wellbeing & Online Behaviour)

This Year 1 RSHE online wellbeing lesson helps pupils understand how using the internet can affect how we feel and how to stay safe and happy when using digital devices. Children learn that online spaces should follow the same kindness rules as real life and that unkind behaviour online should always be reported to a trusted adult.

The lesson explores age-appropriate app use, recognising online tricks and adverts, and understanding that not everything seen online is true. Children also learn about healthy screen time habits and the importance of balancing online activity with offline play and real-world friendships.

This lesson supports both RSHE and online safety statutory guidance, making it ideal for PSHE and Computing crossover teaching.
